Discraft Focus Flight Chart

Mold Guide

The Discraft Focus is a beaded, slightly overstable putter known for a straight, point-and-shoot flight with a reliable finish. Official flight numbers are 2 | 3 | -1 | 2. It shines as a primary putting putter for players who like a firmer feel and a touch of late fade, and it doubles nicely for short, controlled approach shots. Available in Putter Line, Putter Line Soft, and firmer CT/Jawbreaker-style blends (including Adam Hammes runs), it offers grip options for varying conditions.

Flight Path for Newer Players

From circle-one range, most beginners will see a straight launch with minimal turn and a gentle, predictable fade at the end. The bead adds rim feedback without feeling bulky, helping with consistent releases and chain-sticking landings.

Flight Chart for Intermediate Throwers

Expect neutral-to-stable putts and laser-line approaches. On flat throws to ~200 ft, the Focus tracks straight with a touch of finish; on light hyzer it holds the angle, and on slight anhyzer it pans before settling softly. Great when you need touch plus a confident fade.

Flight Numbers Notes for Advanced and Pro Players

For power putts and short tee shots, the rated 2 | 3 | -1 | 2 behaves like a torque-tolerant putter: minimal high-speed turn unless forced, then a controlled, late fade. CT/Jawbreaker-blend runs keep a firm release window and consistent stability in warm weather.

Forehand & Utility Lines

Short forehands are very workable: the Focus resists wobble well for its class and finishes on-plane without big skip. Useful for low-ceiling standstills, soft flex-ups, and “point and land” upshots that shouldn’t glide long past the pin.

Putthead Notes

We’ve found the Focus to be a confidence builder for straight putts with a touch of fade at range. CT blends feel great when it’s warm; Putter Line Soft is handy in cold or wet rounds. If you like a beaded putter with honest stability, this fits neatly between “floaty” and “dump-y.”
