Discraft Nuke – Flight Chart
The Discraft Nuke is one of the most popular distance drivers ever released, built for pure speed and power. With flight numbers of 13 | 5 | -1 | 3 and a wide 2.5 cm rim, the Nuke maintains top-end velocity deep into its flight for maximum distance potential. Stable to slightly overstable, it delivers incredible glide and reliable fade, thriving in the hands of experienced players with strong form. The Nuke is available across nearly every Discraft plastic, including ESP, Big Z, Z, and FLX, giving players options for grip, durability, and flex.
Flight Path for Beginners
Beginners will find the Nuke challenging due to its speed and stability. Expect early fades and shorter flights until arm speed improves. Starting with lighter weights or base plastics can make it more manageable for developing players.
Flight Chart Cues for Intermediates
Players throwing around 325–400 feet will see a strong, stable flight with dependable fade at the end. When thrown flat, the Nuke will push forward before finishing left (RHBH), making it ideal for wide fairways and moderate headwinds. ESP and Big Z plastics give a great mix of grip and consistent stability.
Advanced Shot Shaping and Power Lines
For powerful throwers reaching 400+ feet, the Nuke becomes a true distance bomber. Expect controllable high-speed turn with a smooth fade, producing long S-curves that cover serious ground. Flattened or domey runs may slightly affect glide and turn response. Excellent for max-distance drives and flex lines.
Forehand Performance
The Nuke’s wide rim and stability make it a strong choice for sidearm throwers who want a disc that resists torque and finishes predictably. ESP and Z plastics hold up well to high-speed releases, providing consistent flights even in wind.
