Innova Shryke Flight Chart

The Innova Shryke is a high-speed distance driver with flight numbers 13 | 6 | -2 | 2. On the Shryke flight chart you’ll see a long-gliding flight path with noticeable high-speed turn followed by a reliable but gentle fade. It’s built for players who can generate good power and want maximum distance without jumping to an ultra-overstable rim.

Shryke Flight Numbers & Mold Specs

  • Speed: 13
  • Glide: 6
  • Turn: -2
  • Fade: 2
  • Primary Use: Max-distance driver
  • Stability: Understable-to-stable distance driver
  • Recommended Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced throwers
  • Typical Plastics: Star, Halo Star, Champion, GStar, Pro (premium-leaning blends)
  • Approx. Diameter: ~21.0 cm
  • Rim Width / Depth: ~2.3 cm wide rim, ~1.2 cm deep (wide distance-driver feel)

These Shryke flight numbers show why it’s a popular distance choice: high speed and glide let it carry down the fairway, the -2 turn helps it flip up and ride, and the fade of 2 lets it finish forward rather than dumping out hard.

Shryke Flight Paths by Skill Level

Shryke Flight Path for Beginners

For newer players, the Shryke is usually too fast to match the intended flight path. At lower arm speeds it will act more stable: expect a straight push with some turn if released high, then a noticeable fade as the disc slows. Many beginners see it as a “headwind-sensitive” driver and should treat it as a longer-gliding, slightly overstable option until their release speed increases.

Distance Driver Flight Chart for Intermediate Players

Intermediate throwers who can get the Shryke up to speed will start to see the designed flight. On a flat release it flips from slight high-speed turn into a long, gliding carry before settling into a smooth fade. Thrown on a gentle hyzer, it will hyzer-flip to flat, drift right (for RHBH), then glide back for a long S-curve. This is the Shryke flight path that shows up most often on player reports: long, workable, and very efficient for distance.

Flight Numbers in the Hands of Advanced and Professional Disc Golfers

Advanced players can lean into the Shryke’s -2 turn and 6 glide for big distance. With full power, a flat release often produces a long, late-turning flight that gently moves right (RHBH) before a forward-pushing fade. Power throwers use it as a tailwind bomber or for wide-open distance lines where shaping a big S-curve is preferred over a pure hyzer. In stiffer or Champion-style plastics the Shryke may start slightly more stable, while beat-in or softer runs will show more turn and shot-shaping potential.

Shryke Flight Path on Forehand & Specialty Lines

On forehand, the Shryke functions as an understable high-speed driver. At moderate power it will flip up from a hyzer forehand and glide straight before finishing with a manageable fade. At higher power levels it can be used for intentional turnovers, big anhyzer flex shots, or tailwind sidearms where you want maximum carry without an aggressive, early fade. Many players bag it specifically for long field-style distance shots rather than tight fairways.

Try the Innova Shryke If You:

  • Want a high-speed driver that can out-glide most distance discs when thrown with enough power.
  • Like shaping long S-curves instead of only relying on spike-hyzers or very overstable molds.
  • Need a tailwind or wide-open distance driver that still finishes controllably.
  • Prefer a wide-rim feel but don’t want a disc that always dumps out early.

DG Puttheads’ Notes on the Innova Shryke

The Shryke sits in that “big glide bomber” slot: it rewards clean form and good speed with some of the longest golf lines in a lot of bags. If your arm speed is still developing, it will feel more stable than the numbers suggest, but as soon as you can consistently get it up to speed, the Shryke flight path turns into long, efficient distance with a very usable fade instead of a knife-edge finish.
