Innova Sonic Flight Chart

Overview

The Innova Sonic is a floaty, finesse putt & approach disc with flight numbers 1 | 2 | -4 | 0. Designed with a distinctive grooved rim for thumb grip and clean release, it excels on touch putts, gentle turnovers, and glidey approach shots that finish without fade. Commonly found in DX with periodic premium runs (e.g., Star / Halo Star / XT), the Sonic’s very understable high-speed turn makes it a useful specialty tool for players across skill levels.

Flight Chart by Skill Level

Beginners

Expect slow, glidey flights that hold the line with virtually no fade. A light, smooth throw produces straight or slight-turn putts and approaches that land softly and stay close.

Intermediates

Flat releases track right (RHBH) with a long pan and minimal finish. Great for stand-still touch shots, floaty upshots under low ceilings, and step-putts that need extra carry without a dump.

Advanced

Useful for touch turnovers, nose-up floaters that sit, and late-turn woods lines. The understable profile enables angle-dependent shaping; keep nose angles disciplined to avoid early roll-over.

Forehand Use

At touch power, the shallow profile and grooved rim allow clean forehand releases. Expect gentle flip-to-turn flights and soft landings for pitch-outs and short placement lines.
