Stud

Innova Stud — Flight Chart & Overview

The Innova Stud is a shallow, torque-resistant throwing putter/approach disc that flies straight with a trustworthy finish. With flight numbers of 3 | 3 | 0 | 2, it’s a point-and-shoot option for fairway approaches, tee shots under 275 ft, and controlled lines in the woods. Popular plastics include XT (grippy, beats to straight), Star (versatile, clean release), and Champion (a touch more stable).

Beginner Flight Path

Newer players will see a mostly straight flight with gentle fade at the end. The Stud’s low glide / reliable finish helps keep approaches online without big skips, making it a confidence disc inside 200 ft.

Flight Chart for Intermediate Throwers

Expect laser-straight lines to 220–260 ft with minimal turn and a predictable finish. XT tends to beat in to very straight; Champion holds stability longer for light headwinds or firmer fades.

Advanced & Pro Use — Reading the Flight Numbers

Power throwers can push the Stud flat for straight, nose-down drives that settle softly. It resists torque well for a throwing putter, carves tight gaps, and pairs nicely with a beadless feel for repeatable releases.

Forehand & Utility Lines

The shallow rim makes for clean touch forehands. Use it for short flicks, stand-stills, and low-ceiling approaches where you want a small, predictable fade without dumpy overstability.

DG Puttheads Notes

Nerdy take: the Stud’s modest glide and reliable fade make its flight path extremely predictable—great for committing to lines. XT breaks to straight; Champion holds the stock stability. Think “point-and-shoot” with training-wheels fade.
