Axiom Tantrum Flight Chart
The Axiom Tantrum is a high-speed distance driver with flight numbers around 14 | 5 | -1.5 | 3. It’s designed for big-distance shots that blend high speed, solid glide, workable turn, and a reliable fade. Advanced throwers use the Tantrum for long hyzer-flips and sweeping S-curve drives, while players with moderate power will see a straighter, stable flight with a strong finish.
Flight Chart By Skill Level
Tantrum Flight Path for Beginners
For beginners, the Axiom Tantrum will usually fly like an overstable distance driver. With limited arm speed, expect it to push forward briefly before fading hard and finishing left (for a right-hand backhand). Most new players will see shorter distances and more of a dumpy fade rather than the full S-curve the numbers suggest. It’s better as a headwind control driver or specialty disc than a primary distance driver at this level.
Tantrum Flight Path for Intermediate Players
Intermediate players who can generate decent power will start to see the intended flight path. Thrown flat, the Tantrum will push straight with a touch of high-speed turn before a reliable, forward-penetrating fade. Released on a gentle hyzer, it can flip to flat, ride a long neutral line, and finish with predictable fade, making it useful for shaping fairway-hugging distance shots and long controlled drives.
Tantrum Flight Path for Advanced Players
Advanced players with higher arm speed can fully unlock the Tantrum’s high-speed turn and long S-curve potential. On a controlled hyzer-flip, the disc will flip to flat, drift right (for RHBH) during the high-speed portion of the flight, then pull back with a strong but reliable fade. This produces maximum distance lines that still finish predictably. On flatter releases, the Tantrum can carve long, sweeping lines in open fairways while maintaining enough stability to stay trustworthy in moderate wind.
Tantrum Flight Path for Forehand Throwers
For forehand throwers, the Tantrum’s combination of slight high-speed turn and firm fade offers a workable but demanding distance option. Intermediate forehand players will see a mostly straight-to-fade flight with minimal turn, making it a dependable disc for long, stable forehand drives that need to finish on hyzer. Advanced forehand throwers can use its speed and glide for big flex lines: start it on slight anhyzer, let it pan out during the high-speed portion, and trust it to fight back at the end for a consistent finish.

Putthead Notes
The Tantrum fits in the category of high-speed distance drivers that reward clean form and above-average power. If you’re already comfortable with faster drivers but want something that offers more workable turn than a pure meathook, the Tantrum’s combination of glide, turn, and fade can cover a lot of long-drive slots—especially for hyzer-flip and flex lines in more open spaces.
