Innova Groove – Flight Chart

Overview

The Innova Groove is a high-speed understable distance driver with flight numbers 13 | 6 | -2 | 2. Designed with a distinctive groove-rim profile, it pairs high glide with workable turn to produce long “S” flights for players who can generate speed. In Champion, Star, and occasional Blizzard Champion runs, the Groove is best used when you want understable distance lines without committing to a roller.

Flight Path for Developing Arms

If you’re still building speed, expect a straighter push with modest turn and a gentle finish. Many newer throwers will see less high-speed turn unless the release is clean and fast; on low power, the Groove can finish earlier than expected.

Intermediate Players: Working the Turn

At typical league power, the Groove’s high glide (6) and turn (-2) create hyzer-flip to flat or flip-to-drift flights that finish with a small, reliable fade. This is the window where the disc most closely matches its published flight numbers and shines for tailwinds and shaping turnover distance lines.

Advanced Power and Wind Notes

Big arms can see pronounced high-speed turn. Thrown flat with height, it rides a sweeping turnover and pans forward before a light fade; powered down or released on hyzer, it flips to flat for long carries. In strong headwinds, expect it to turn—consider purposeful rollers or increase hyzer.

Forehand Use and Release Feel

The groove-rim can feel unique on forehands. Players who like a deeper rim may find controlled flip-ups for distance; those who prefer flatter rims may reserve the Groove for backhand-dominant shots or specialty rollers.
