XL

Discraft XL – Flight Chart

The Discraft XL is a control/fairway driver built for easy distance and accuracy. With flight numbers 7 | 4 | -2 | 1, it hyzer-flips to flat, carries straight, then finishes with a gentle fade. Players like it as a first fairway for point-and-shoot lines, woods control, and smooth turnovers as it seasons—delivering a consistent flight path without needing max power.

Beginner Line: Straight Shots Without Big Arm Speed

Newer throwers will see slight high-speed turn and a soft finish. Start on a light hyzer: the XL will stand up, track your aim line, and settle predictably. Great confidence disc for early fairway work.

Flight Chart for Intermediate Players

Expect reliable hyzer-flip to flat drives, tunnel shots that stay on angle, and gentle turnovers that pan rather than burn. Ideal as a controllable 7-speed when you want placement over raw distance.

Advanced Line Shaping and Seasoned Utility

Experienced arms can carve late-turn fairways, set touch flex lines, or lean on seasoned XLs for effortless turnovers. As it beats in, it becomes a workable right-finisher (RHBH) and even a situational roller.

Forehand Touch and Low-Ceiling Work

While not a torque brute, the rim is comfortable for smooth forehands. Use flat or baby-anhyzer FH releases for flip-to-straight lasers under low ceilings where OS fairways would fade early.
