PDGA St. Jude Support

A big month is coming up for the St. Jude and PDGA partnership.  We’re just over a month out from the second annual St. Jude Disc Golf Charity Invitational and the Bang The Chains – Team Challenge is in full force this week!

Here’s what PDGA’s Media Manager, Matt Gregoire, has to say about the partnership:

By helping the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, you will be honoring our sport and helping it immensely. Join the PDGA in helping fulfill St. Jude’s unique mission in the fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Be part of the answer — St. Jude is a place of hope where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.”

Many people I know have jumped in on the action.  Tim from Mind Body Disc is matching a quarter of every dollar that you donate through his team here: http://events.stjude.org/mindbodydisc.  Rodney invested in the full St. Jude Unity Disc Set, of which each is a special run and has a matching stamp.  St. Jude provides a scrolling list of the top fundraisers (bottom of page) and I encourage you to take a look and see who you recognize!

St. Jude Disc Golf Fundraisers

Are you ready to get involved?  Good news, fundraising will continue through June 30th, 2016 so you still have time, but you’ll want to start now!  There are many ways you can join in, such as individual fundraising.  A great list of incentives for individual fundraising has been added this year!

PDGA St. Jude fundraising

It’s not too late to start a fundraising team, but the deadline is about here so you’ll want to act fast.  Or you can just give a donation to a fundraising team, pretty easy!  For more details on fundraising, Unity Disc sets, contact information and more, check out the original post from the PDGA here:

I strongly encourage you to get involved one way or another, even if it’s just spreading the word so other disc golfers may become aware.  It’s a great way to grow the sport and show people that disc golfers can make a difference.
