    Above Ground Level Madrone Review

The Madrone is a low glide putter from Above Ground Level that loves power and long straight lines. It shares many similarities with the AGL Manzanita but like the tree it is named after, the Madrone is unique. The Madrone tree is native to the Pacific Northwest but the Madrone putter will be finding its way all around the US in disc golf bags.

    Most Overstable Disc Golf Putter

There are plenty of overstable disc golf putters, but there is something magical about insanely overstable putters that fade before they even leave your hand. For some unknown reason we are drawn to those putters that can be thrown further upside down than normal. Maybe we feel powerful hucking a putter that rips our shoulder from our socket. Or maybe it’s just me and I should talk to a therapist. Whatever the reason, we tested a lot of super overstable putters and here is our evaluation of the most overstable disc golf putters you can find.

    Best Disc Golf Disc Retriever

Losing a disc is awful. The only thing worse than losing a disc is having to abandon a disc that you can see. Since the beginning of time (1976) disc golfers have tried to solve this problem, and that has lead to a variety of disc golf disc retrievers. Disc golf retrievers are not created equally, so this disc golf retriever guide will help you decide which disc golf retriever to use and what their strengths are. Keep reading for a list of disc golf retrievers, how we rate each one, as well as links for more information on each disc retriever.

    Discraft Crush Review

I bought a Crush in 2005 before I had the arm to throw it. Over the next three years I worked on my power until I could throw the Crush on the flight path that Discraft described. This was the disc that taught me to throw hard. The Crush experienced some early popularity and was was voted best overstable disc at one point but it would not find a place in enough bags to continue long-term production. Discraft removed the Crush from production entirely in 2017 (maybe 2016, the exact dates are not well publicized). Read on to find out how the Crush flies and what’s special about the 2020…

    Discraft Buzzz Review

The Discraft Buzzz (three Z’s) is one of the most popular discs in disc golf, and may well be the most pupular midrange ever. The Buzzz was created in 2003 based on the Discraft Wasp but with some modifications such as a rim with no bead to create a straighter, more controllable all-around midrange. Most experienced disc golfers won’t need an introduction to the Buzzz, but we want to make sure that newer disc golfers have a chance to understand why the Buzzz is a great option to test.

    Disc Golf Putting Rules

Disc golf putting rules are not complex in most situations, yet they are frequently misunderstood and a subject of debate. There are of course some uncommon situations not explicitly covered by putting rules and you need to understand how to apply the rules. Putting is an essential part of disc golf and if you don’t understand the rules you can easily earn yourself penalty shots. We want to see you score well so here is our explanation of disc golf putting rules in normal language.

    Disc Golf Overhand Throw

The disc golf overhand shot, also called a Thumber or Tomahawk, is throwing a disc like a baseball with the disc tipped up on its side. Overhand shots are good for throwing over tall obsticals without the disc fading far to the side. When a disc is thrown overhand it will travel straight upward but as it falls it will begin to turn upside down and move to one side, then it will flip rightside up and move to the other side. The direction it moves will depend on whether you throw a Thumber or Tomahawk which we will cover below. The side to side movement of an overhand shot…

    Innova Invader Review

Innova has introduced another low glide putter to its lineup, the Invader. The Invader specializes in approaches by balancing low glide with ease of release. This putter offers a comfortable grip and a confident run at the basket. I don’t feel like making a cheesy disc name pun, so here’s your review.  Invader Manufacturer Notes Here’s how Innova describes the Invader: The Invader is one of the best driving and approach putters available. Its flat-top profile features a rounded, small bead rim making it easy to grip-n-rip straight flights. Put torque onto the Invader, it can handle it—backhand and forehand. We’re launching Invader in durable and grippy Luster plastic. Innova…
